Welcome to the Connecticut Council on Developmental Disabilities' Weblog!

The mission of the Council is to promote the full inclusion of all people with disabilities in community life. We do this by working to improve services and supports for people with developmental disabilities and their families through advocacy and systems change. Additional information about the Council can be found at our State of Connecticut website.

The purpose for this blog is to collect comments on issues of concern to people with developmental, and other, disabilities. Your comments will be used by the Council to inform its work on influencing public policy and public opinion. We've suggested some global and specific areas of interest but you are free to comment on issues that are important to you and what we should work on in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to participate on this Weblog. Your opinion counts!

My daughter is daiagnosed with A.D.D. She has been evalualted by a neuro-pychologist and has an IEP. She is a sophmore at private college in Ct.The school is not very cooperative in meeting the requested modifications. Do I have any recourse being that it s a private school. Do you know who I can call?
